How to Start a Home-Based Child Care Info Session

Do you stay home to care for children or do you know someone who does? 

Is finding childcare a challenge for you or someone you know? 

Have you considered starting a home-based family childcare program?  

Participants in this program will learn about the process to become licensed Family Child Care Educators and will receive individual support to start their own small businesses! Approved participants can expect to be licensed by Fall 2026.

The program includes:

• An orientation to the program and the licensing process on Zoom
• Assistance with technology as needed (using online systems)
• Small group meetings on Zoom to learn about licensing requirements
• Individual support through the licensing process
• Home visits to help prepare your program
• Access to training resources

Startup GRANT funding is available to support participating future educators!

This opportunity is open to applicants living in the Lower Cape and all of Barnstable County. Language assistance is available.
